Who You Are:
A construction industry professional with years of experience, you are knowledgeable and confident in pricing commercial-scale electrical construction services. You’re a great communicator and excel at describing electrical systems in both technical and layman’s terms. You are process-oriented with a knack for organization and system development. Flexible and future-oriented, you are open to novel approaches and remote estimating. Natural collaborator and strong member of any team you join.
What You'll Do:

Review and evaluate site walk photos and building as-builts to develop estimates for EV installations

Ability to size equipment and electrical infrastructure based on EV and service requirements

Develop layouts of system infrastructure and utilize estimating software or similar take off tool
-
Detailed – Developed design (e.g. MEP Plans, Design Narrative, Single Lines, Electrical Schematics) in partnership with internal electrical engineers

Communicate with engineers and the sales team to develop a clear understanding of project scope during preparation of an estimate

Maintain and manage the price book while updating a data library of costs

Manage a database of key EV installation required materials including switchgear, transformers, wire, conduit, panels and other consumables

Obtain quotes for EVSE installation from key suppliers and forge relationships with them

Identify equipment lead times and alternatives

Analyze projects for value engineering options while considering specific job conditions that may affect labor and material to be purchased and installed

Assist senior staff in ways to make process more efficient and seek ways to improve accuracy

Support in budget development for successful projects

Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures

Prepare cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and explain variance and cost drivers

Identify strategies to create bid advantages

Anticipate potential problems and devise solutions proactively

Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers

Develop and maintains a positive relationship with vendors
What We're Looking For:

4-year Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical knowledge, field training and/or experience

2+ years estimating and advanced knowledge of estimating techniques

EV and renewables experience highly preferred

Detail-oriented and highly organized

Advanced computer skills in Microsoft/Google software suites
