Who You Are:

COIL, Inc. is seeking a highly capable network specialist to drive productivity within our Networking Deployment Team. You will evaluate project networking needs, collaborate with our project management and plan set engineering teams, oversee network product procurement, configuration, and shipping, and support installers with network troubleshooting. In addition to the deployment of networking hardware and systems, you will become familiar with EV charging configuration, supporting our installers both on-site and remotely in commissioning installations. You will document processes, create new company operating procedures, and provide necessary training.

 

To ensure success as a network specialist, you should possess in-depth knowledge of network technologies and experience in a similar role. An accomplished network specialist will be someone whose network expertise results in the stable, fast, and secure exchange of information.

What You'll Do: 

  • Determining project connectivity needs and coordinating the procurement, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of on-site WiFi networks.

  • Ensuring secure and stable network connectivity and testing network protocols

  • Installing, updating, and configuring end-user networking accessories

  • Monitoring server capacity and performance to keep up with demand in online traffic

  • Running diagnostic tests and performing repairs, as well as developing backup, archiving, and data retrieval procedures and enhancing network performance and security

  • Provide technical level 2 support and training to installation partners and internal COIL installers

  • Assist our Solution Design team with the layout and planning of networking infrastructure

  • Manage networking inventory and coordinate materials to be shipped to installation sites

  • Assist in the commissioning of EV chargers including network configuration, power sharing, and OS updates

  • Creating and documenting network processes and implementing company standard operating procedures

  • Keeping informed of developments in network technologies and infrastructure

  • Maintain up-to-date department KPI reporting

  • Travel to sites for configuration as needed - 50% potential travel

 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar

  • Certified Ubiquiti network professional preferred

  • A minimum of two years experience as a network specialist

  • Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Great organizational and time management skills

  • Willingness to visit client locations

  • Availability to perform network repairs outside of business hours
