Overview: 

COIL is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to develop, implement and oversee operational functions within the company. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Operations and work closely with key department heads. This position has key responsibility for the decision making, development, implementation and operation of key projects for service implementation to support nationwide EV installation in the residential, commercial and multi-family markets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Establish, maintain and improve systems and processes for key operational functions of the company including sales to operations hand off, deployment, program management, warehouse & materials management. 

  • Identify and report key performance indicators on system performance to measure and improve processes.

  • Establish key performance indicators and a reporting process for internal and external stakeholders of various programs.

  • Maintain revenue tracker for financial & regional growth projections and analyze operational requirements to maintain company goals.

  • Work closely with the accounting department and project management team to establish a process to track job costs to ensure budgets are met.

  • Proactively forecasts resource needs to support programs.

  • Responsible for maintaining program profitability targets, monitoring, and managing margins and P&L.

  • Work with the technology team and evaluate and leverage technology to gain efficiencies in the business.

  • Assist with the development and role out of standard operating procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage key functional areas with direct reports which may include training, inventory, program managers & coordinators and other functions as needed.

  • Spearhead implementation and performance of assigned programs and services across divisions.

  • Interface with customers and other stakeholders to operationalize EV deployment programs including serve as the primary point of contact for these programs.

  • Work directly with COIL strategic partners to ensure programs meet contractual requirements.

  • Provide strategic direction and management necessary for staff to achieve the stated objectives of their respective duties.

  • Oversee the deployment of process management tools which supports sales, implementation to closeout functions.

  • Develop and oversee systems implementation and own software systems deployments including CRM and project management platforms mapped to existing systems and processes.

  • Work across teams to help automate and improve processes for efficiency gains.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Detailed and meticulous with great follow through to meet deadlines.

  • Great communication skills, both in writing and verbal communication.

  • 2+ years of management experience.

  • 2+ years of operations and/or construction experience.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of electric vehicle technologies is a plus.

  • Familiarity with G-suite, Excel, & Hubspot with the ability to learn new software programs.

  • Must be able to work from a remote location.

  • Ability to travel, on average, up to 50% of time to client sites and offices across the U.S. via plane and driving as determined based on the project location. Overnight stays away from home may be required.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision or guidance.

  • Ability to use and skillfully operate a computer is essential to this position.

  • Ability to use and skillfully operate an electronic tablet efficiently in the field for live data collection is essential to this position.

  • Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service.

  • Occasional weekend travel required.

  • Knowledge of construction components, process and methodologies required.

  • May be required to climb ladders.

  • Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
