Role Summary:

COIL iQ is the industry’s software solution standard in the new energy sector. As a Product Owner, you’ll monitor and build the roadmap to accelerate expansion within the product. You will identify and execute new product initiatives and will be integral and responsible for working cross-functionally with several internal teams from Sales, Solution Design, Software, and Operations to launch features and improvements to COIL iQ. 

 

As a Product Owner, you’ll be an excellent multi-tasker and be able to balance user research, data analysis, your team’s input, and your instincts in the decision-making process. You must be highly detail-oriented and able to map complex concepts in a clear, precise, and linear fashion into a user story for feature development. You will be able to organize supporting documents and user research in a clear and convincing manner. The ideal candidate is an empathetic, strong analytical thinker, excellent communicator, and user-minded individual that is passionate about delivering quality work while tackling meaningful problems within the EV / Renewables industry.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Product Sales & Management to understand the go-to-market strategy and client requirements

  • Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements

  • Work as the liaison between the product team and end-users to deliver updates

  • Support in defining the vision for the team’s product

  • Maintain, map, and build a product road map based on this vision

  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize tickets based on changing requirements

  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development

  • Develop user stories

  • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process

  • Participating in Scrum meetings and sprint planning / retrospective meetings

  • Ensure user stories are ready for design & development implementation

  • Ensure team is on track to hit agreed-upon roadmap goals

  • Responsible for the end-to-end launch of the product

  • Executes the plan and roadmap

 

What You Need for this Position: 

  • 3+ years of experience in product management and agile product development

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma & Lucidchart

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

  • Ability to communicate & clearly present information

  • Creative problem solving

  • Ability to work remotely

  • Ability to sit for hours and self-prioritize based on shared company goals

  • Have deep user empathy to understand the "why" behind user behavior

  • Have an affinity for the fast-paced, changing environment, a sense of humor and a get-it-done personality

  • Knowledge of the industry and a clear understanding of customer experience within the industry

  • Electrical & EVSE industry knowledge is a plus
